drown in my own fears came to be in 2007 when the late karina bowman founded this little journal. it grew to be a fantastic measure of the human condition, thanks in part to all of you who have contributed over the years. alla kozak and myself have carried on the journal after karina's passing and, we hope, managed to maintain a level of excellence. unfortunately, all things must come to an end and, with a heavy heart, we announce that drown in my own fears will cease to produce new issues from this point on. we hope you enjoy our 24th and last issue. know that we've loved every minute of working on this journal and hope it has stirred your emotions and your passion for both reading and writing. we are honored to have known all of you.

yours in poetry,

kaia braeburn & alla kozak
